Audio
My experience in visual media (from my program in college, to producing Up Late App State, to my roles in various film projects) has given me an equally in - depth skill set in audio recording and editing. You can see lots of the work of mine that also includes examples of my audio editing for film and television on my video page (specifically, check out "Aquarium"). Additionally, I'm a lover of music. I've been a musician my whole life; I taught myself how to play piano at nine, have been in choir since eight, and played cello in middle school in college. I am thrilled to find myself in an industry where this passion of mine is not only relevant but actually a vital element. Because of this, I've gotten to edit and arrange music, compose using MIDI tracks, do foley and ADR, do voiceover work, run soundboards, serve as sound designer in two films, master music, sweeten dialogue, and dapple in podcasting. Audio truly is - pardon the pun - half the picture.
On - Air Demo
During my time in college, I got to attend the 2017 Kellar Radio Talent Institute. In this intensive, I took classes by radio professionals and became RAB certified in radio sales. I was inspired by the experience to make a demo (basically an air-check, but not actually from something that was ever on the air!).
Ear Candy Extended Play
Due to my love for music and vocal background, I joined an a cappella group in college called Ear Candy. We wanted to record an EP for years, so I got us coordinated with a small recording studio - No Tomatoes Studios out of Raleigh - ran by one of my family members. Because of my connection and my audio recording editing/background, I assisted the engineer in recording and mastering. We wanted it to sound as real and raw as possible, so we left in some intricacies and breaths. This song is Ear Candy's alumni song, one that's been with the group for eleven years: "Love Where is Your Fire" by Brooke Frazier.
Ear Candy
To showcase my love of music, I want to share this. Ear Candy is one example of my musical involvement. During the four years I was in Ear Candy, we won awards such as Best Overall Performance and Best All-Female Performance at yearly competitions. This is my senior song which I arranged and am the soloist for.
